Holiday Gift Guide for the Guitar Player in Your Life

Instrument Tool kit

From breaking a string on stage to fine tuning your set up at home - every guitar player needs the tools to keep their instrument in top shape no matter the situation. This has been a game-changer for me for all my string changes.

USB Mic

Nothing quite sounds like the mic that is built into your computer, and honestly, most mics sound better. This USB mic by NEAT will improve the sound quality for lessons, live streams and at home recording. I don’t own this one yet, but it’s officially on my holiday list.

Guitar stand

People practice more if their instrument is out. A guitar stand that fits both acoustic and electric guitars means that no matter the instrument you are playing that day, you have a safe place to keep it. This is the one I use in my office.

Headstock tuner

Keeping your instrument in tune is key to sounding good and just as important as keeping it safe. I’m a big fan of low profile tuners, and this is the best one on the market in my opinion.

a solid capo

A good capo isn’t hard to find, but quite easy to lose. This is the capo that I tend to find myself using the most. Some capos pull your guitar out of tune, I don’t think this one does - and I like the way it looks.

guitar spoons

I got these as a gift myself, and I love them. They are perfect for a morning cup of coffee. I tend to stab myself in the forehead with a regular spoon, but not with these!

silent end cable

This thing a godsend. No more loud amp pops when I unplug. I use these everywhere - on stage, in rehearsal and in my teaching studio. These operate on a pressure switch - as soon as you unplug your line is dead. I think everyone needs two. They are definitely worth the money.

This pick keeper

Another of my Favorite Things. Don’t lose your picks and keep them together. This case will store them in all kinds of weather. It makes it through laundry when left in your jeans, that’s why its one of my Favorite Things.

Hygrometer

Guitars are living, breathing things. Acoustic guitars are built from wood and hide glue - these can dry out and crack ruining the instrument. This five pack of hygrometers gives you enough to keep one in your practice space and one in each of your guitar cases.
